Women in Transition

The Women in Transition (WIT) program is designed to provide the public with available community resources to fulfill their basic needs. Clients can come directly to the agency or call to reach a referral specialist.

 

"Program counselors meet with clients to assess their situation and provide them with the appropriate referrals."

WIT services include:

Intake:  Program counselors meet with clients to assess their situation and provide them with the appropriate referrals.  Referrals are made to support groups and programs within and outside of the agency.

Case management:  Short term case management is offered to assist clients to obtain public benefits and to secure other necessary resources, or to assist those who may have potential language barriers.

Emergency assistance and referrals: Partial Emergency financial assistance may also be provided to qualified applicants when available.

Advocacy:  Mujeres works with coalitions and associations that advocate for funding to resources needed in the community that will provide access to personal and family well-being and economic self-sufficiency.
