Sexual Assault 42 Hour Training

Join the Sexual Assault 42 hour training to learn how to support and advocate for survivors of sexual assault. The course will cover crisis theory, privilege and oppression, and referral techniques. Mujeres’ Sexual Assault training is designed to engage volunteers to support survivors of sexual violence by providing crisis intervention & medical advocacy services.

Training participants will gain a holistic understanding of the social, psychological, medical & legal aspects of sexual violence.   

 

Requirements:

  • Training is offered ONLY in English.

  • Participants MUST be bilingual (English/Spanish)

  • Participants MUST be 18 years or older

Cost: $275 or $75 With one year volunteer commitment (No refunds)

  • Acute and Non-Acute Crisis Intervention with Adults and Children

  • Referral Techniques

  • Mandated Reporting for Children and Elders

  • Medical Advocacy

  • Legal Advocacy

  • Immigration

  • Institutional Advocacy

*Includes 2 hour advocacy certificate*

 

All training will take place at Mujeres Latinas en Accion’s Main Office in Pilsen. Participants must be able to attend all training dates. Training dates and times are:
