40 years later, Chicago organization is still fueling Latina success
The organization began in the early 70s when the Chicana movement was emerging. During this time, a group of Chicago women saw a need for bilingual and bicultural social services for Latinas. This year Mujeres Latinas en Acción is celebrating their 40th anniversary and is considered the longest standing incorporated Latina organization in the nation.
