The Women in Transition program assists women and their families with the resources they need to change their situation.

Many individuals can benefit from the Women in Transition program: survivors of domestic violence trying to escape their abusers who

are not financially independent, undocumented individuals with little or no family support, and the unemployed. Mujeres extends its services to anyone in the community in need of accessing

Food, clothing and household items are provided to clients. Mujeres’ bilingual case managers assist clients to secure public benefits and other necessities. Qualified applicants may also receive rental assistance.

Counselors help clients in the Women in Transition program by assessing their situation and providing them with referrals to other organizations. Clients can receive referrals to legal assistance agencies for a myriad of issues (divorce, custody, child support, rape, assault).
