Domestic Violence Intake Specialist and Case Manager

BASIC FUNCTION: Provides intake support, including assessment, crisis intervention, and community referrals, to survivors of domestic violence seeking services at Mujeres. Conduct DV client resource referrals to community partner resources.

REPORTS TO: Domestic Violence Program Director


  1. Engage adolescent and adult survivors of domestic violence in trauma-informed, bilingual/bicultural services under Mujeres’ Domestic Violence (DV) Program
  2. Conduct in-person and virtual intake services for survivors seeking DV services, including assessment, crisis intervention, safety planning, community resource referrals and advocacy
  3. Coordinate, complete, and submit resource referrals on behalf of survivors engaged in DV Program to community partner resources such as housing, shelter, legal services, transportation and economic assistance
  4. Manage DV Program resource referral list to ensure accurate and up-to-date information
  5. Connect DV clients and survivors with appropriate referrals to internal MLEA programs and external community resources
  6. Complete and maintain accurate documentation of client services
  7. Submit reports as needed
  8. Support efforts to promote awareness of DV, including participation in DV Awareness Month and other community events
  9. Participate in MLEA staff training sessions, in-services, staff meetings, external meetings, supervision, and professional group seminars or conferences to increase professional knowledge and enhance job skills
  10. Uphold professional ethical standards
  11. Other tasks as assigned by the Domestic Violence Program Director


  • Bachelor’s degree required in social services or related field
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish), bicultural required
  • Prior experience with gender-based violence preferred
  • 40-Hour ICADV domestic violence training preferred
  • Effective interpersonal skills
