BASIC FUNCTION: The EDF Advocate will facilitate groups, coordinate activities related to the program and provide individual support to former and current program participants utilizing multi-layered and participant-centered approaches. REPORTS TO: Empresarias del Futuro (EDF) Director RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Recruit and assess candidates for EDF program 2. Facilitate educational groups following our culturally appropriate entrepreneurship and financial literacy curriculum 3. Provide one-on-one support through coaching sessions to current and former participants 4. Assist with the coordination, logistics of program’s special events, social media platform, and our crowdfunding initiative. 5. Conduct outreach activities, develop, and cultivate relationships to promote and generate resources for program 6. Generate program reports and maintain accurate data of individual and group records 7. Attend internal and external activities or meetings as needed 8. Participate actively in advocacy efforts on behalf of program or organization 9. Manage projects as assigned by program director QUALIFICATIONS • Experience in community work and knowledge in financial or small business management needed • Able to speak and write both Spanish and English • Comfortable with multi-tasking and project-management • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs • Flexibility in work schedule and co-location, position requires some evenings • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills • Access to a car and willing to travel to multiple sites, including Chicago and Western suburbs. • A minimum requirement of an associate degree or equivalent SALARY $39,000-$42,000 annually TO APPLY: Please send resume and cover letter to Alicia Espinosa, Empresarias del Futuro Director at firstname.lastname@example.org.
