BASIC FUNCTION: The EDF Instructor will facilitate LI & LII groups, coordinate activities related to the program. Provide financial coaching and technology support sessions, centered on individual businesses, to former and current program participants utilizing multi-layered and participant-centered approaches.
REPORTS TO: Empresarias del Futuro Director
LOCATION: Hybrid
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruit and assess candidates for EDF program.
- Facilitate educational groups, following our culturally specific entrepreneurship and financial literacy curriculum.
- Provide one-on-one business and financial coaching sessions to current and former participants focused on participants assessment, budgeting, and financial goals towards access to capital through our crowdfunding initiative or other methods.
- Encouraging participants through follow-up sessions to develop a strategic technology plan, goals.
- Link participants with resources that may help them in achieving their goals.
- Assist with the program events organization, and marketing through platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, or other.
- Conduct internal and external outreach activities to promote the program.
- Cultivate develop, and relationships with staff, and expand network with financial institutions, non-profit agencies, and business owners to promote and generate resources for the program.
- Collect participant data and information in the Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) database & external database as required.
- Generate timely program reports as needed.
- Attend internal and external activities, training and meetings as needed.
- Participate actively in advocacy efforts on behalf of the EDF program and organization.
- Manage special projects as assigned by program director.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in community work and knowledge of financial and small business marketing needed.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and oral).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and design programs such as Canva.
- Knowledge of trending social media platforms.
- Experience providing in-person and virtual training and coaching.
- Comfortable with multi-tasking and project management.
- Flexibility in work schedule and co-location. (This position requires some evening and weekend hours).
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel to multiple sites, including Chicago and Western suburbs.
- A minimum requirement of a BA in Business, Education degree or equivalent.
- A reliable method of transportation is required.
SALARY
$52,000 – $54,500
