Individual Giving and Fundraising Coordinator

As a member of development team at Mujeres Latinas en Acción (Mujeres), the Development Coordinator will work with Director of Development to secure resources, primarily focusing on individual giving and event management. This person needs to be a strong writer, who is highly organized.
REPORTS TO: Director of Development
RESPONSIBILITIES
Individual Giving
- Help Mujeres’ grow our individual giving campaigns, including the end-of-the-year appeal, awareness campaigns, and targeted solicitations to major donors.
- Work closely with the Director of Development & CEO of Mujeres to build out of 50th
Anniversary Campaign - Maintain current records in donor database, including donor tracking and reports. This position is responsible for acknowledgment of gifts and donor retention.
- Work with our accounting office to assure accurate gift entry, monthly financial
reconciliation, and support the independent annual audit processes - Support growing the Board of Directors’ philanthropic culture and activities.
Grants Management - Coordinate with Development team, Accounting, and Program Directors to develop grant
applications and reports, as well as identify areas of need for additional funding. - Maintain and track grant requests and reporting requirements on our project management
system.
Communications & Event Support
- Liaison for Mujeres’ Young Professional Action Council (YPAC)
- Event management support for fundraising events and campaigns
- Writes, edits, and proofreads organization’s communications, including advocacy, alerts, opeds, and calls-to-actions in accordance within organization’s branding and strategic goals.
- Support Mujeres’ marketing strategy
- Perform other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree minimum.
- Experience working in nonprofit organizations, government
agencies, education or a related field for minimum of two years, with a proven track record in grant writing. - Candidates must possess excellent writing skills and strong attention to detail, as
well as be proficient in their computer skills, including data and project software. - The candidate must be highly organized, able to effectively work under pressure, use independent judgment and produce a quality work product within tight time constraints.
- The candidate must also be sensitive to professional ethics, gender, cultural diversities and disabilities.
- Spanish fluency in speaking/writing a plus.
SALARY $47,000 – $50,000
