National Technical Assistance Director of Gender-Based Violence

BASIC FUNCTION: Serve as the point person in coordinating and overseeing the technical assistance for all culturally specific sexual assault grantees and organizations seeking TA, including counseling, community health models, and response and prevention to gender-based violence. In collaboration with the team, assess organizations’ and grantees’ needs and monitor their progress. Supervise the Sexual Assault TA Manager. The National TA Director will also be responsible for overseeing the development of an online resource center for programs across the country.

REPORTS TO: VP of Sexual Assault Program

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Coordinate the needs assessment of organizations and grantees in order to create a plan for training and technical assistance.
  2. Develop a comprehensive array of nationwide technical assistance and training to expand the capacity of organizations and grantees in the area of sexual violence.
  3. Oversee all grant monitoring of SA grantees and assist with grantees reporting requirements as needed.
  4. Hire, train, and supervise the Sexual Assault TA Manager
  5. Oversee the Coordination of the national convening, partner meetings, and site visits in collaboration with the Sexual Assault TA Manager with all the SA grantees and partners.
  6. Oversee the approved contracts with consultants as needed on expert areas and informed by technical assistance plans of grantees.
  7. Oversee the contracts and manage external consultants to provide training and technical assistance to organizations, and grantees and coordinate with Mujeres leadership as needed.
  8. Work in collaboration with Communication personnel from Mujeres’ Development team to create messaging and promote TA services.
  9. Collaborate with Mujeres’ Development team in the creation of any intellectual property that is directly related to our technical assistance and/or specific training.
  10. Capture the impact of Mujeres’ technical assistance services on other organizations and grantees.
  11. Make recommendations to enhance the Technical Assistance services
  12. Provide guidance and coordinate responses with the National Technical
  13. Assistance Manager to meet contractual obligations.
  14. Maintain informed all internal parties involved in the progress and impact of the TA project services to organizations and grantees.
  15. Ensure that all the reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner with coordination with National TA Manager and the Accounting Department.
  16. Maintain accurate documentation of organizations’ assessments, TA provisions, contracts, and agreements.
  17. Participate and make recommendations for the evaluation of all projects of the TA
  18. Develop technical assistance strategies, such as organizational capacity building, and programmatic accessibility to organizations and grantees.
  19. Along with VP of the Sexual Assault Program, serve as primary liaison with other national TA partners as well as grantees.
  20. Develop, research, and collect resources for the development of an online resource center for programs across the country to support organizations and grantees.
  21. Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree required in the social services field
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience required
  • Fluent in Spanish/English and knowledge of the Latine community required
  • Ability to travel nationwide required
  • Experience with grant reporting
  • Strong management organizational skills and knowledge of the gender-based violence
  • Excellent leadership skills and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and writing skills in English/Spanish
  • SA 40-hour training preferred
SALARY

$75,000-$82,500
