GBV Internship Program Manager

BASIC FUNCTION: This role is responsible for recruiting, onboarding and supervising interns while providing ongoing guidance and feedback. It collaborates with leadership to coordinate intern placements, monitor performance, and manage reporting data. A key focus is fostering and expanding strategic partnerships with higher education institutions to build a diverse and robust intern pipeline. It ensures compliance with standards, oversees daily activities, and ensures adherence to ethical and professional guidelines. Additionally, the role leads in the development and enhancement of the internship program, leveraging data to drive improvements.

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Gender-Based Violence Programs

LOCATION: Pilsen Office (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote) 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Recruits, onboards and supervises interns within Gender-Based Violence programming, offering guidance and feedback.
  2. Collaborates with identified Gender-Based Violence leadership team to coordinate internship placements, discuss intern evaluation, and obtain needed data for reporting purposes.
  3. Cultivates and strengthens strategic partnerships with higher education institutions, proactively exploring new opportunities to expand the intern recruitment pipeline, ensuring a diverse and robust pool of candidates that aligns with program goals.
  4. Responsible for ensuring compliance with documentation standards including but not limited to student onboarding and termination documentation, evaluations, and timesheets.
  5. Collaborates with assigned program task supervisors in ensuring supervision of daily activities, accurate documentation, and adherence to ethical and professional standards set by organization and relevant regulatory bodies.
  6. Leverages data to inform program development and utilizes trends to improve and expand the internship pipeline program.
  7. Leads in the development and refinement of internship program and materials.
  8. Ensures timely and accurate completion of reports.
  9. Provides supervision (individually and/or group) to interns and as needed, co-facilitate clinical supervision group for staff seeking licensure.
  10. Participates in meetings/coalitions and assists in developing and implementing policies and procedures to strengthen internship programming.
  11. Works on program development, evaluation and critical issues affecting the internship program in collaboration with Vice President of Gender-Based Violence Programs and other leadership, as appropriate.
  12. Participates in community events, advocacy efforts, and other identified activities that aim to enhance and expand intern programming.
  13. Leads intern case staffings and participates in identifying and addressing training needs and opportunities for interns.
  14. Collaborates with other Gender-Based Violence leadership to plan, schedule, and implement ongoing professional development opportunities for interns and staff.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Clinical License (Social Work)
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate supervisory experience required (including providing clinical supervision).
  • Strong experience working with interns and leading intern programming.
  • Fluent in Spanish/English and knowledge of Latine community required.Strong management, administrative and organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of gender-based violence and providing culturally relevant services.
  • Experience with oversight of grants and grant-funded programming.
  • DV/SA 40-hour training preferred
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Strong knowledge of social work practices, ethics, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Skilled in maintaining established relationships with higher education institutions and cultivating new partnerships.
  • Experience in collecting and leveraging data to gain valuable insights, drive decision-making, and enhance programming.
  • Effectively able to provide constructive feedback and mentorship.

SALARY $75,000 – $78,850
