Who We Are

Since 1973, Mujeres Latinas en Acción is the longest standing Latina-led organization in the nation. Over the years we have honed our offerings including community services that empower Latinas and their families, and supports them as they heal, lead and thrive.

Open Doors

Community members seeking domestic violence or sexual assault services can walk into our offices from 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday without an appointment.

Volunteer Opportunities

Trained volunteers help support community members across all of our programs.

Bilingual Staff

All of Mujeres’ staff is Spanish and English speaking.

Safe Space

Our offices are a safe space for Latinas and their families, immigrants, and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Desde 1973, Mujeres Latinas en Acción es la organización más antigua de la nación, liderada por Latinas. A través de los años la organización ha creado diversos programas de servicios de apoyo y el desarrollo de liderazgo para el empoderamiento de Latinas y sus familias.

Contamos con un Horario

Lunes a viernes de 9:00am a 5:00pm para atender a toda persona que requiera servicios de apoyo en casos de abuso sexual o violencia doméstica,teniendo la oportunidad de acudir sin necesidad de hacer cita.

Our Core Programs,
Rooted in Empowerment

We provide culturally grounded, bilingual support services that uplift Latina survivors, nurture leaders, and strengthen families across our community.

Domestic
Violence Support

Confidential, compassionate help for survivors. Our team provides counseling, legal support, safety planning, and more in English and Spanish.

Sexual
Violence

For the healing and prevention of sexual violence, we offer crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, adult and child therapy, legal and medical advocacy, community education, professional and volunteer trainings, and referrals to other resources.

Maria
Mangual Center

Provides additional support and resources to participants of our Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence programs.

Empresarias
del Futuro

An educational training program in Spanish for women interested in beginning or expanding their small business, leading them on the road to obtaining financial independence.

Parent Support

Offers comprehensive services to improve interpersonal relationships in families with a focus on parent-child relationships.

Community Engagement
& Mobilization Program

Mobilizes community members to become civically engaged around issues of economic justice, immigrant justice, gender-based violence, and women’s health.

Supervised Visitation
& Safe Exchange Program

The Supervised Visitation & Safe Exchange Program ensures that children can maintain meaningful relationships with visiting parents in a safe, supportive, and neutral environment.
