Claudia was born in Mexico City and immigrated to the United States in 1999, joining an Elementary Montessori Immersion program in Chicago, where she performed as a Spanish elementary teacher. Through her teaching experiences in the United States Claudia had the opportunity to work with diverse populations
She worked for the National Council of La Raza as Assistant Director and Teachers Consultant.
Claudia developed, organized and coordinated Empresarias Del Futuro-EDF Program (Entrepreneurships of the Future Program), which is a 15 weeks educational training composed by financial literacy, entrepreneurship and personal development topics. Empresarias Del Futuro Program seeks to empower women to believe in themselves as entrepreneurs, offering them business educational opportunities and coaching support. In 2019, EDF program reached its 7th anniversary, and at least 500 women have graduated from the training. The program stills running and is funded by financial institutions, corporate companies and private funders.
In 2018, Claudia moved to California and joined the Mission Economic Development Agency- MEDA where she performed as a Mission Corridor Outreach Business Development Specialist, providing technical support for local businesses along the Mission Street. She also provided business and financial coaching and facilitated business educational training.
She just recently rejoined Mujeres Latinas en Accion as Empresarias Del Futuro Program Director.
