About

the Sexual Violence program

The Sexual Violence Program provides free, confidential, and comprehensive services for survivors of sexual violence and gender-based violence. We meet survivors where they are, honoring their cultural values, offering trauma-informed, survivor-led care that fosters resilience collective healing, and long-term empowerment.

Our services include crisis intervention, individual therapy, support groups, psychoeducational/psychosocial groups, and advocacy in medical, legal, and law enforcement settings.

Through our cultural-responsive services, we aim to help survivors examine and release cultural myths that may impede healing, while also integrating alternative healing practices that support holistic recovery. We also partner with schools, hospitals, and community agencies to strengthen systemic responses to sexual assault and to expand prevention education.

We believe healing is possible when survivors are affirmed, supported, and empowered to reclaim their voices and futures. At Mujeres, survivors are never alone in their journey.
