& Safe Exchange

The Supervised Visitation & Safe Exchange Program ensures that children can maintain meaningful relationships with visiting parents in a safe, supportive, and neutral environment.

About

the Supervised Visitation & Safe Exchange program

The Supervised Visitation & Safe Exchange Program ensures that children can maintain meaningful relationships with visiting parents in a safe, supportive, and neutral environment.

Designed for families impacted by domestic violence, the program centers the safety and well-being of children while respecting each family’s unique cultural background and strengths.

We provide free court-ordered or self-referred visitation services to families across Chicago and surrounding suburbs, while also connecting participants with additional supportive services through Mujeres and our trusted partners.

Children & Youth Therapy

To further support children navigating complex family circumstances, our program also offers individual therapy grounded in trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approaches. Using models such as Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), our team help children express themselves, heal, and build coping skills. Therapy is tailored to each child’s developmental stage, cultural identity, and personal strengths, ensuring that every young person feels heard, safe, and supported.

Supervised Visitation

Provide supervised visits, allowing children to spend time with their non-resident parents in a secure and supportive space. Non-Chicago residents do no need court orders for these services.
