CHICAGO/ LEAD PROMOTER COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER
Conducts activities to improve the social determinants of health for Latina/e
immigrants. Generate required reports to funding sources.
REPORTS TO: Community Health Worker Supervisor
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and coordinate the outreach efforts of Chicago Promoters.
- Participates in the training for Promotores who will be engaged with the Chicago HealtH Worker (CHW) project.
- Maintains appropriate records of referrals provided.
- Assists in the preparation of required reports.
- Provides presentations on topics related to Health and Reproductive Justice.
- Attends Promotores Meetings.
- Works collaboratively with the North Riverside CHW in the coordination of the Promotores teams.
- Assists CHW, Supervisor and Community Engagement Director with accurate data for the generation of internal and external reports of activities as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work in a collaborative fashion.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience as a Lead promoter.
- Experience in community outreach.
- Language: Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Experience working with the Latina/e population.
- Knowledge of immigration issues.
- Knowledge of working in Microsoft Excel program.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Public speaking skills.
COMPENSATION: $22.52 per hour/15 hours per week
