CHICAGO/ LEAD PROMOTER COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER

CHICAGO/ LEAD PROMOTER COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER

Conducts activities to improve the social determinants of health for Latina/e
immigrants. Generate required reports to funding sources.

REPORTS TO: Community Health Worker Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supervise and coordinate the outreach efforts of Chicago Promoters.
  2. Participates in the training for Promotores who will be engaged with the Chicago HealtH Worker (CHW) project.
  3. Maintains appropriate records of referrals provided.
  4. Assists in the preparation of required reports.
  5. Provides presentations on topics related to Health and Reproductive Justice.
  6. Attends Promotores Meetings.
  7. Works collaboratively with the North Riverside CHW in the coordination of the Promotores teams.
  8. Assists CHW, Supervisor and Community Engagement Director with accurate data for the generation of internal and external reports of activities as needed.
  9. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work in a collaborative fashion.
  10. Other duties as assigned.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience as a Lead promoter.
  • Experience in community outreach.
  • Language: Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Experience working with the Latina/e population.
  • Knowledge of immigration issues.
  • Knowledge of working in Microsoft Excel program.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Public speaking skills.

COMPENSATION$22.52 per hour/15 hours per week
