Lead Grant Manager & Writer

Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, write, and submit high-quality proposals, LOIs, and reports for government, foundation, and corporate funders.
  • Maintain a grants calendar and ensure timely submissions, renewals, and reports.
  • Engage in cross-departmental strategy development and collaborate with program and finance teams on budgets, narratives, and compliance.
  • Partner with the Senior Director of Development to track strategic goals, manage cross- departmental workflows, and support donor reporting.
  • Support Board-related development initiatives and contribute to Mujeres’ signature events (Voces Unidas and Baile de las Calaveras).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3+ years of successful grant writing experience (government and private funding).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and project management skills.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration skills across teams and stakeholders.
  • Executive support or project management experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM/database systems.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Passion for Mujeres’ mission and commitment to immigrant and Latine communities.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years’ experience in policy, advocacy, communications, public relations, fundraising, and/or event management.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • This position has a hybrid work schedule which includes weekly in office presence.
  • Standard office environment.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift items weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Travel to other Mujeres office locations.
  • Work evenings and weekends as needed.

  • Paid Holidays: 14 paid holidays including Juneteenth, Indigenous Peoples Day, and Winter holidays.
